Multiple Challenges - again!

I was so inspired by the Delicious Diva # 1 sketch, I decided to do some more cards with it ;-)
This card fits 4 challenges:
Pile_it_on- more than three flowers (in the stamp) I know, a bit cheeky ;-)
DeliciousDiva- sketch #1
Items used: Polka dots & stripes DP, cross grain ribbon, charm, bling, spellbinder dies in cuttlebug Image: Penny Black - coloured in with watercolour pencils and highlighted with bling
I enjoyed myself so much, I made another one in completely different colours for me!
this seems so VERY bright! I think I need my sunglasses on!

DeliciousDiva Sketch #1

over on DeliciousDiva they have their first sketch challenge.
The sketch just seemed to talk to me, so I just had to have a go at it!
Forever Friends image watercoloured. Card embellished with flower & gems and ribbon.
I love the speed this card came together once I had decided on colour combination.
Panels cut with Spellbinder dies in cuttelbug. Centre of flowers highlighted with metallic gel pen - no kindy glitz for this card!

Magnolia Down Under #19 - Winter

Over on MagnoliaDownUnder the current challenge is to make a card using a magnolia image with a winter theme.
I have just got a whole new batch of magnolia images and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use Tilda & Edwin ice skating!
When I think of winter, I think of snow and ice skating. We don't get quite that cold where I live, so I have to rely on memory for my one trip to the snow when I was a teenager ;-)
this layout has been inspired by the Creatalicious Sketch again!
Metallic square card used as a base, 'winter wonderland' vellum used as background, panel embossed by cuttlebug using snowflakes folder.
Magnolia image coloured in with watercolours and highlighted with kindy glitz.
I used material paint for cuffs to imitate fur - not too sure it was successful ;-(
Snowflake was cut out using my CraftROBO and highlighted with a pearl.

Penny Black

Over on PennyBlack challenge #59 is a recipe - 3 ribbons, 2 flowers, 1 charm
I have just purchased some lovely Penny Black images and just had to give this one a try!
I love the combination of Black & White & Red, so here is my card.
Black leathergrain cardstock used as a base, three ribbons layered on top of each other, two flowers embellished with bling, one charm (placed over bag on stamped image). Image watercoloured and kindy glitz added.
I love the fun in this one!
Cuttlebug & spellbinder dies used to cut oval panels.

Blog Award - Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends Award
I am fairly new to the world of blogging - it has been a wonderful diversion to the disappointment and frustration of being unemployed and it has provided a wealth of inspiration for my creative juices.
I have been given this award by Cheryl, of MyCardmakingHaven, and will post it here on my blog with pride. thank you so much, Cheryl!
I agree with Cheryl, it is a wonderful way to communicate with someone that lives in another state, area or even country and hopefully, some lovely friendships will grow over time.
To keep the Circle of Friends going I must do my part and pass it along.....
Here are the rules for this award: To pick up the Circle of Friends Blog Award cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog. Nominate 5 other bloggers you feel have become part of your circle of friends. Link to your nominees within your blog post. Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post. Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation. Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award.
It is so very hard to pick just 5 friends as I have 'met' some lovely people in blogland!
So, I will give this award to some very dear friends that have been around for quite some time ;-) and some very new friends, I hope these friendships continue to blossom! ;-)
Cheryl - right back at ya! It is so nice to receive this award and a big thank you for your support!
Linda & Merry - thank you for your constant support in all facets of my life, not just in relation to my blog.
