Happy Birthday Cathy!

one of our closest friends had a birthday recently :) so I took the opportunity to have a play with some of the graphics I have been purchasing.

This card is made up of a combination of graphics from Creative Market and Design Cuts

Watercolor Sketch Lily by Spasibenko Art

New Baby | Happy 30th Birthday

I finally managed to get the new baby card that I mentioned in my previous post done & dusted, and I must say, I am really pleased with how it turned out.

When I went hunting for what type of card I was going to make for my new great nephew, Archie, I looked through my stamps and found a Lily of the Valley stamp I hadn't used.  So I went looking for layouts I could use to incorporate that stamp.

I was inspired by a card created for an old challenge blog called Here Come the Boys by Sharon, unfortunately, the blog doesn't exist any more, it closed in 2013 - but I did save the image as inspiration for the future.

Several layers have been cut with Spellbinders dies, Lily of the Valley stamp hand coloured with copics, embellished with liquid paint & kindy glitz, and a ribbon.

It is also my niece's 30th Birthday - so here is the card I made for her :)

I would like to submit my baby card to the following challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - #142 one for the boys
CAS-ual Fridays (layer it on) - CFC158 (my card has 8 layers)
Daring Cardmakers: Seriously Monochromatic
Sunny Day Crafting - Anything goes

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.

Happy Birthday Kate

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I do hope you are having a good day.

I made a birthday card for a friend, Kate, who is also the owner of A Quilters Odyssey (my LQS (Local Quilt Store)), so ofcourse it had to have some sort of sewing/quilting theme to it :)

This card forms part of my PDP - Personal Development Plan for 2014 - I want to participate more regularly in various card challenges, use my never before used stamps and use up my considerable stash of DP, as well as use up my considerable stash of fabrics .......... but that is another post for my sewing blog :)

Items used:
Blue square card, Stickers, Stamp:  HOTP Sew Sweet - from BlueEdge Crafts
Bling & DP, Spellbinders DieCuts, Heat Embossing

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Addicted to CAS #29 - DieCuts
Less is More - #153 - Blue
CASual Fridays - #125 - Word Inspiration - my word 'friendships'
My Time to Craft - #229 - Movie/Music theme - Needles & Pins by The Searchers
Our Creative Corner - No More Shopping Sins - I want to use new stamps much sooner
Sunday Sketch & Stamp - #188 - Sketch
