Happy Birthday Mandy!

My friend Mandy, celebrated her 60th birthday recently.

A small group of us, myself, Cynthia from Cynthia's Ark, Beth from Huggies Crafts and Mandy from Blue Edge Crafts met up for a lunch at The Topiary Cafe.  The Topiary has been on my 'to do' list for quite some time.

the food was lovely, if a little pricey for me, but then I don't dine out very often, apart from a pub meals, so I am always surprised at the cost of meals & drinks at a restaurant!

Here is the card I made for Mandy - using a stamp/embossing set that came with
the Australian Papercraft Essentials magazine.  

and here is what I made Mandy for her birthday.  I recently did a class for this 'Tree of Life' at Need4Bead - and I can tell you I really enjoyed myself.  Below is what I made in class - you can see my tree has a bit of storm damage LOL

and this is Jelly Bean, who kept us company for a little while :)

I recently came across a new papercrafting magazine, well new to me LOL

Australian Papercraft Essentials - Issue 51 - boy what a great magazine!  I was taken with the freebie stamp set on the front :)  and on looking through the magazine I was taken with a card using an image from Elisabeth Bell Designs

It took me a while to find the image in the store - Elisabeth eventually helped me find it via her Facebook page :)

Here is the card I produced - it will be going to a very special friend.

It felt so good to colour in again!
