Cards by Request - 16th and 50th Birthday

The card I made for Mr Fixit's workmate's engagement, see post HERE, was well received.

I received a request to make up another two cards - one for a 50th Birthday, and one for a 16th Birthday.

The 50th Birthday card was for someone who works in the Audio Visual industry, so I used an image of the speakers he actually uses in his business ;-)

Card was designed in Silhouette Studio, printed on shimmer card stock, cut out using the CraftROBO, highlighted with metal brads and elements were layered using foam dots.

next up, is the 16th Birthday Card
The recipient of this card plays drums and saxaphone ;-)

This was cut out using the CraftROBO, designed in Silhouette Studio.  16 was embossed with musical folder in Cuttlebug, stickers placed on acetate and cut out, layered on front of card.  Inside was embellished with some stickers, ready for a handwritten sentiment from the giver ;-)

I enjoyed the challenge to create these cards within such a tight timeframe - not something I want to make a habit of - but it was great to be cardmaking again ;-)

I would like to enter the above cards in the following challenges:
Speaker Card
Anything Goes Challenge - #87 Make it Manly
Craft Room Challenge - Something for a Man

Creative Card Crew - Birthday

16 Card
Creative Card Crew - Birthday
Songbird Challenge - 16 going on 17

UnstampaBelles Challenge #20 - Use a Doily

Challenge #20 for UnstampaBelles is up and running and this month we are to use a Doily.

Cardmaking Online is our sponsor this month with a $25.00 gift certificate for the prize.

Please remember .............
Any form of paper creation will be accepted as long as NO STAMPS (Digital or Rubber) have been used.  Due to graphic technology any entry with a graphic image will be subject to the Design Teams' discretion and we will contact you if we feel the entry does not meet the ethos of our challenge blog.
For further information, see our rules here.

This challenge closes Friday, 1st March 2013 and Winners will be announced Monday, 4th March 2013 - Remember we are working on Aussie Time.

I confess to being a bit hard pushed at first for an idea on using doilies - but am happy to report that once inspiration finally hit, my card came together fairly quickly.

A folded doily forms the skirt, with a bodice sticker on white cardstock cut out and placed on top.  Sentiment and corner stickers added - all placed on a navy square card.

Please visit the UnstampaBelles blog and see last month's entries and check out the winner.
There were heaps of entries again this month - very difficult for the DT to pick a favourite!
