The Bride 2 B

As mentioned previously, my niece is getting married at the end of October and we had a Tupperware Kitchen Tea for her yesterday.

It has been quite some time since I was at a Kitchen Tea, and even more time since I attended a Tupperware Party.

It was a whole lot of fun.

The card I made for her.

This card is a CUP card.

It's important to make time for 'girl things'

The current challenge for Cardmadfairy is to make a card using layers (and a digi image)

I keep on promising myself to use more digital images that I have collected over the years.

Sassy Studio image printed twice, hand coloured with copics, cut out and layered.
Highlighted with pearls & kindy glitz.

showing the layers ;-)

I won these Sassy Studio images some time in 2010 and have been waiting for 'inspiration' to use them ;-)

On Your Wedding Day

I have been working on a wedding card for my niece,
well really my husband's niece ;-) and
have come up with this card

Now, I can't claim this layout as my own, I was VERY inspired by this card by hunnybun

I just turned it into an easel card

This heart charm has been in my stash for sooo long ;-)

I got some tips for placement of flowers and how to make the coils from the Lili of the Valley Ideas to Inspire blog HERE

I would also like to submit this card for the following challenges

halfway reminder UnstampaBelles Challenge #3 - Animals

We are halfway through the month for our UnstampaBelles Challenge - where did that time go?

In the hope of inspiring you to try something different, here are a few more examples of the bonus technique for the month - dry embossing.

Double embossing with the cuttlebug

hand embossing on vellum using a freebie embossing board that came with a craft magazine

attaching vellum to cardstock using brads eliminates the need for double sided tape that shows through ;-)

SOLVED - Blogger troubles with comments and/or signing in or out ;-)

Hi everyone

as my previous post mentioned, I have been having no end of troubles with Blogger, so much so, I was thinking of moving over to Wordpress   ;-(

this problem seemed to relate to IE and blogger and a few rogue cookies ;-)

for a few days I could not log in - blogger help suggested clearing cache, cookies, etc - so I did that, as well as the suggested workaround to log in and untick 'remember me'.  This seemed to solve the issue of not being able to log in, but did not do anything to resolve the issue of not being able to leave a comment.

After following some of the suggestions mentioned in Blogger Help - clear cache, cookies, etc, etc I developed a new problem on Monday - I could NOT LOG/SIGN OUT, in order to log/sign in and untick the 'remember me' option.

After wading through Blogger help, and reading some very helpful posts by nitecruzr, I had a glimmer of hope!

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History, I deleted temporary internet files, cookies, internet history AND unticked preserve favourites websites data!

ta da!   I have been able to log in and log out, and leave a comment on a blog I have been having issues with for the last two weeks!

nitecruzr has some great information about the nitty gritty of blogging - a lot of it went over my head - but I learned enough to fix my blogger issues.

Thank you nitecruzr

Oh, Blogger, you are trying my patience!!!

I am having no end of difficulties posting comments on other blogs and I am imagining given the lack of comments on my own blogs of late, so are others!

there does not seem to be a pattern to it

I got a new situation today - the blog I want to leave a comment on (QBSA) does not allow anonymous comments, however, I am an author of the blog and I am logged in - I am NOT anonymous!

Others have said to log out, then when you log back in to untick the remember me box - I CANNOT LOG/SIGN OUT

I have been wading through 'something is broken' on blogger and there are numerous questions about people having difficulties leaving comments - for me it all started the same time they introduced the new interface - why introduce a new interface?  there was nothing wrong with the old one .....

why fix it when it aint broke?

If anyone one else is experiencing problems with leaving comments on my blog, please leave a comment, or email me.

Challenge #3 - UnstampaBelles - Animals

Challenge #3 for UnstampaBelles is up and running.

A quick recap of the rules:

No Stamps! This means no rubber stamps, no digital stamps, clipart or line art which includes pre-coloured versions. Inclusive of sentiment stamps.

Due to graphic technology any entry with a graphic image will be subject to the Design Teams' discretion and we will contact you if we feel the entry does not meet the ethos of our challenge blog.

A technique challenge will be included as a bonus.  This will not be a requirement for an entry but if you do use the nominated technique in your project, it will count as two entries for you.

The Theme this month is Animals and the Bonus Technique is Dry Embossing, if you include this technique, you will get a bonus entry.

I am sponsoring this month's challenge and the prize will be:

Two butterfly sticker sheets (1 silver, 1 gold), 1 pack dragonfly gems, 1 pack dragonfly emellishments, 3 embossed white butterflies, 10 sheets patterned vellum

This Challenge will close Friday, 30th September 2011.  A winner will be drawn at random and announced when Challenge #4 is posted (along with the team faves), on Monday, 3rd October 2011.

Now, onto my DT entry and further to my quest to make non-girly cards ;-)

Black base card, red background embossed using the Happy Birthday folder in the Cuttlebug, highlighted with peel-off stickers.

The gorgeous dog is a GSD file for the CraftROBO which was available from Risalenee HERE (unfortunately, the file is not available any more).  I have used a few of Lisa's files in the past and they are an absolute gem to cut and wish to thank her for her generosity.
