Happy 80th Birthday Howard!

one of my camera club friends celebrated his 80th Birthday this week - such a wonderful milestone to celebrate and such a wonderful man he is too!

Ofcourse, my card had to have a camera theme of some sort.

I used my new Kaisercraft Camera Die - it cuts like a dream :)

the 'camera' topper is on a spring, so it wobbles :)

Happy 80th Birthday Dad!

on 6th June 2013 it was my Dad's 80th Birthday.

We had a family get together on the 15th June, but little did Dad know we had arranged for a surprise visit of some of his oldest friends, some he hadn't seen for a few years.
the invite I put together utilising my newfound skills in Indesign

collection of cards

I made Dad a speaker card - we used to get told off for having our music too loud as we were growing up - he used to say that he could 'see the rooftiles moving with the music'

WOYWW 12th May 2010 - Happy Birthday - 60th & 80th

Whilst I have been busy on the baby quilts over the last week or so, I thought I should really do some cardmaking - my desk was feeling left out ;-)

so I made it all messy again! although, some of you would say not very messy!

Belated birthday card for my friend Cate - am having lunch with her today and will be able to give to her in person - YAY!

Birthday card for an old work colleague, Gail

My second 'commissioned' card from Cate to give to Gail - this image even makes me think of Gail LOL

inside - Gail loves champers!

The final finished card for my first 'commission' 80th Birthday card for my friend's Dad.

Must be off - am catching the bus into the city so that I can have a few 'champers'  LOL

Don't forget, if you want to have a nosey on other people's workdesks, pop on over WOYWW using the link on the sidebar - it is a whole lot of fun!

You're the best Dad ever!

I find it most difficult to make male cards.

A friend has asked me to make a card for her Dad's 80th birthday.

this is what I have come up with - I was originally inspired by a card I saw on SCS here

I am thinking of putting an embellishment of the number '80' in the top right hand area

the white balance is not quite right and the image has been coloured in a bit rough, but I will do it properly if Clare decides she would like this card.

I finally got to use up some of metal brads that have been in my stash for such a long time!
The inside of the card is blank for the moment, but I think I would put this stamp on the inside.

Any suggestions?
