I managed to have some real creative time on Friday.
I finished one part of my sewing swap for
CraftMad - we have to make two material luggage tags
unfortunately, I can only show a snippet of it, as I haven't sent it yet.
This swap is way overdue for me - I had the material cut out for quite a while, but could not actually get to sewing it up, mostly because I was unsure if it would actually work. It is my own design, but my measurements & cutting were way off and it has not come together as I would hope. Unfortunately, some of the links provided in the swap information did not work for me ;-( but I have since been able to get back to one of the links and will use that info for the second luggage tag. So hang in there, Merry, I haven't forgotten you ;-)
I also spent time in my sewing room sorting out fabrics - an easy way to get distracted for a few hours ;-)
see my
My Sewing Room for pics.
I managed to complete a label/tag for an Anniversary present for my BIL & SIL 20th Wedding Anniversary. This tag fits in with the current
Lily of the Valley challenge of glitter & glitz and the
Copic Oz challenge of feathering.
It does not show up too much on the photo, but the hair is feathered with two different colours.
Here is what the images look like without the glitz - a bit sad don't you think :-((
This is what is inside the package
B&B book celebrating 20 years
I know the present is really for my SIL, but I have included a voucher so that BIL does not feel too left out.
I am a bit of a fan myself, and my fave characters were Thorne & Darla.
I almost don't want to give to her - but I am sure she will let me read it when I want ;-)
