Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #27 - numbers

over on cuttlebug_Be Inspired challenge_#27 the theme is numbers
I used the numbers cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss background, enhanced with chalk. Layered CB background on dark blue cardstock, then placed on light blue card. I then stamped the image of candles on white cardstock and printed words on computer and layered candle image & words on dark blue cardstock. Candles & wording were mounted on front of card using sticky dots to raise them off the surface. Kindy glitz was used to highlight borders of dark blue cardstock.

I came across a lovely saying about birthdays and I have just been waiting for an opportunity to use it. I thought it was perfect for this card.

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge #26 - shape it

This week over on Cuttlebug_Spot_Challenge the challenge is to make a card that is not a square or rectangle. Should be easy right? ....
this one was a challenge for me - but once I hit on an idea, it came together fine.
Influenced by a metronome, I made a card for a musically minded person.
Cardstock was run through cuttlebug using swiss dots & allegro, then sanded to reveal inner core. Gold sticker guitar placed on acetate, then cut out and raised with sticky dots, other musical notes placed at random over card.

House Mouse Challenge #33 - multiples & TECC61

The challenge this week over on House_Mouse is to make a card using multiples.
I have picked my favourite stamp for this one. Although, with only 2 house mouse stamps, I could just as easily say the other stamp is my favourite as well!
I stamped the image twice, coloured it in twice and then separately layered the candle, little mouse and the icing & mouse on top of the base image. Image was highlighted with kindy glitz and chalks. Image was then mounted on dark purple cadstock, handmade paper and bazzil were layered over soft purple background paper. Paper flowers highlighted with bling. Layout for this was from Taylored Expressions Card Challenge TECC61

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #7

In the Magnolia_Down_Under_Challenge#7 the challenge was to make a card in sepia tones using a magnolia image.
I have been watching this blog for quite some time and since I had finally got access to some magnolia images, I decided it was time for me to take part in one of the challenges.
At first I thought I had made life difficult for myself and has chosen a hard one to start with, but as I sorted through my stash of papers, I came across just the right tonings I wanted.
I watercoloured the image, and then highlighted a few select spots with chalks - I think I have made the top just a bit too bright for a true sepia toning, but am still happy with the way my card turned out. Of course, it would not be a CrafteeCC card without any bling - I have put just the tiniest bit of bling (kindy glitz) on the wings ;) and added gold sticker sentiment and on corners.

Cuttlebug Be Inspired # 26

here is a card for the cuttlebug_challenge_26 a great be inspired challenge using cuttlebug, vellum & easter - it certainly inspired me!
I don't normally make Easter cards, but thought this might be a good one to try. I liked it so much, I gave to my BIL & SIL.
white textured card was corner punched, gold/pearl vellum was interlaced into corners. Easter eggs were cut using cuttlebug with oval nestabilities, then bottom trimmed off to give a more egg shape. Eggs were then run through cuttlebug tiny bubbles & swiss dots folders. White ric-rac added, highlighted with pearls and bling flower added to centre egg. Gold glitter border added across top and bottom.
