SheetLoad of cards - April Challenge

I came across a new challenge site, thanks to one of the members of the CraftMad forum. It is http://sheetload.blogspot.com/ where they provide a sketch, and let you know all the supplies that you will need to make a 'sheetload' of cards.
I thought I would give it a go. I am very impressed with the instructions provided (even though measurements are in inches ;-( )
I decided to make one card first, and stuck with the black, white & red colour scheme.
I already had a black card, so I adjusted the measurments of the other pieces to stay relatively true to the layout.
Black & white doubleside patterned paper was used, along with red cardstock which was run through cuttlebug using swiss dots folder. Stamped images & sentiment came from Inkadinkado Cupcake set, paper flowers were embellished with red bling. Cupcake image was coloured in with watercolours and highlighted with kindy glitz/stickles.
EDITED: here are the cards I made following the sheetload instructions. I decided to get an early start on my Christmas Card stash.
Did you spot the odd one out? I had to use a different paper for the last one - the patterend paper I originally chose was not quite big enough to provide 6 squares.

House Mouse Challenge 32 - sweet

this week's house_mouse_challenge is for something sweet - how nice is that!
This was a fun one for me - I ended up doing a card that was simple and not too fussy.
White textured card was run through Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots folder. Black & white ribbon was attached across the middle with three brads each side. Oval shapes made using Cuttlebug and nesties. House Mouse image was coloured in with water-colours and highlighted with Kindyglitz/Stickles. Image was highlighted with gold border sticker, sentiment 'make a wish' from Hanna Stamps.

two birds with one stone

My inspiration for this card came from two challenges - Hanna_Stamps_Challenge_ 63 over on Splitcoast Stampers and TECC62
The HSC63 required us to use black, white & red and TECC62 supplied the layout
I used black & white double sided patterned paper, red paper, black cardstock, red flowers & bling, cupcake is from Inkadinkado, sentiment from Hanna Stamps, all placed on a Square white textured card. Cuttlebug was used with Nestabilities to cut squares. I haven't got round nesties yet, so I did the circles the old fashioned way - with a compass.
I will use this card for a friend's birthday, so the inspiration came at just the right time!

My First Pop-up Card

In October 2008 I received a pop-up card as part of a CraftMad swap. I had always wanted to make this type of card and my swap partner, Kerry, very kindly sent me the instructions to save me disassembling her card - LOL
It is my soccer mad nephew's 13th birthday today and I have been working on making my first pop-up card.
I played around with a few ideas during the week, but once I decided on which images to use, the card just fell into place. I made up a paper one at first, and with a little fine tuning on the cutting measurements, the card came together wonderfully!
A white textured card was used as a base, with green cardstock run through the cuttlebug with tiny bubbles folder for the 'lawn'. Images of the soccer balls were done with the computer and printed on white cardstock. Front image was layered on green 'lawn' cardstock and matted on black with corners punched. Stickers were used for number and sentiment. These lovely BIG words are available from Blue_Edge_Crafts
I think the front needs 'something' maybe I should put markings on the 'lawn' as a soccer field ??? what do you think?
