Golden Wedding Anniversary

Greetings everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day yesterday and were able to spend time with family and friends.

I want to share with you a card I made for my SIL parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.

I am really pleased with the way this card turned out.

I used an old sketch from mojomonday #74

Butterfly heat embossed with fine gold, highlighted with bling.

Gold ribbon & bow added.

Verse printed on Japanese handmade silk papers.

Items used:

Majestic shimmer cardstock - Candlelight Cream & Mellow Yellow Metallic Card, Tenco Japanese handmade silk papers, background paper, kaisercraft rhinestones

Tools:

Cuttlebug, Spellbinders square, circle and Fleur de Lis dies, Fiskars Fleur de Lis corner punch

More Mojo!

With my CraftROBO up and running, I took the opportunity to make up a batch of Christmas Cards using the mojomonday #117 sketch - I just love the way it comes together.

The white circle and red cardstock have been cut using the CraftROBO and the green strip was cut using Spellbinder Fleur de Lis die in the cuttlebug.  The felt hat has been in my stash for many years and cards finished off with gold peel off stickers.

Background pattern was purchased from bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking and printed on gloss cardstock.  When printing, I used the 'plain paper' setting on my Epson Stylus R210 and it dried in no time!

I am quite pleased with the way these cards have turned out - now to work on my last 10 cards!

My CraftROBO is back in action!

During the week I had a mini catastrophe!   The blade holder in my CraftROBO broke and it would not cut properly - exactly the last thing I needed when making my Christmas Cards!

Luckily, Blue Edge Crafts came to the rescue and I had my replacement blade in two days!

Cuttlebug was used to create trees, tag was left over from a class taken last year, very delicate snowflakes were cut using CraftROBO out of majestic pearl paper - the photo does not do them justice - and highlighted with a touch of kindy glitz.

Bling has been added to central tree and snowflakes.  The large snowflake (top left corner) is 40 mm (1 1/2 inch) wide and the small snowflake (top right corner) is 20 mm (3/4 inch) wide

I am really looking forward to having more of a play with the ROBO and Inkscape - the cricket is on the television today, so that will keep hubby occupied  ;-)

Twas the night before Christmas, I’m glued to the tree.

I’m wondering what Santa brought just for me.

Could it be cardstock or inkpads or lace?
Or some stamps, I said, with a smile on my face.

And that’s when I heard him……
“Hi Santa, ” I said
He replied, “You know….good girls should be in their beds”.
“I know I should Santa, and now I’ve been caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought.”

“Well, let’s take a look in this room where you work”.
He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.

“You’ve got enough crap,
I’ll see you next year!”

Some more cards - I am on a roll!

I saw a card on  hunnybunnycards and thought it looked lovely.  Here is my take on it.  Thank you for the inspiration Barbara!

Centre panel is the Fleur de Lis spellbinders die through the cuttlebug, the holly wreath is several holly leaves punched out of two shades of green cardstock and placed in a circle. Small snowflakes punched from Magestic pearl paper, red bling added.

My next card is a left-over card - made up using left-over bits from last year.

The base of the tree is actually a left over bit on a sticker sheet.

This next card also used up some left overs - left over scraps of DP.

DL size majestic pearl cardstock is the base card, letters cut out from textured cardstock, bling added.

I am not sure if my cards will get to their destinations in time - our posties are taking strike action!  I still have some more cards to make, luckily they can be hand delivered ;-)

Mojo Monday #117

It seems my mojo has definitely returned!   Must be the fact that it is SEVEN days to go!

I was so impressed with the way this one turned out, I made another one in the reverse colour scheme!

The centre strip background panel is my first attempt at designing a pattern using inkscape and cutting it on my CraftROBO.
