Happy Birthday Kate

I made a birthday card for a friend, Kate, who is also the owner of A Quilters Odyssey (my LQS (Local Quilt Store)), so ofcourse it had to have some sort of sewing/quilting theme to it :)

This card forms part of my PDP - Personal Development Plan for 2014 - I want to participate more regularly in various card challenges, use my never before used stamps and use up my considerable stash of DP, as well as use up my considerable stash of fabrics .......... but that is another post for my sewing blog :)

{January} The Simple Woman's Daybook

I came across a lovely blog in my travels, and thought I would play along ;)

Outside my window... the sun is shining

I am thinking... it is going to be very hot today :( a perfect day for staying inside and being crafty

I am thankful... I have the freedom to be crafty :)

In the kitchen... the dishes are done, the stovetop is clean :)

I am wearing... black leggings and a singlet top

I am creating... a To Do List for the month

I am going... to get some sewing done and participate in FNwF (Friday Night with Friends)

I am wondering... when will my motivation to lose weight really kick in :(

I am reading... my favourite blogs

I am hoping... to produce better photos this year

I am looking forward to... being more organised this year

I am learning... how to use my new camera

Around the house... there are areas I want to declutter

I am pondering... which UFO project I will pick to complete this month

One of my favorite things... is to catch up with friends I haven't seen in a while.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  work on the weekly meal plan, create food shopping list, decide on my Tryout Tuesday dish

the time of Star Trek is really here

I am a real fan of Star Trek - in all it's forms :)

One of my fave episodes is where Australian Actress Wendy Hughes was a guest star :)  she brings along her roll-out keyboard and Captain Picard plays his flute and they have a 'jam session' :)
