Sympathy for a friend

One of my dearest friends, Olga, has lost a friend to that horrid disease cancer :(

I know there is absolutely nothing I can say to ease her pain - words seem so inadequate - and being in a different State is no help either :(

All I can do is let her know I am thinking of her - now and always.

On a positive note, I got to play with a new toy ;-)

First tryout of new toy

I think I must be the last person I know to get a Scor-Pal ;-)  this is my first 'test'  just using up some scrapbook papers - it worked first time!!!

My next post will include some more info on how I made it.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.

Happy Birthday Liam!

The nephew, Liam, turned 11 - it is fitting that we are celebrating today, 11th ;-)

I was a bit stumped what type of card to make for him this year, however, he is a massive Port Power (AFL) fan - so that is the direction I went ;-)

I hope he likes it ;-)
I had fun with this one - it has been a while since I got my CraftROBO out ;-)

Now onto my card.

I was really stumped what to do for a paper dress, since I figured I had used up my creative mojo on the Paper Doily card ;-)  but then I remembered, I had used the beautiful bodice sticker in a slightly different card I had made for a girlfriend's birthday.

this is a slightly formal dress - the blue 'dress' part is a shimmer paper that does not show up in the photo :(

and here is a more summery, fun party dress feel to it.

The papers I have used on these cards I have had in my collection since I first started cardmaking - around 2008.  The stickers, cardstock and papers were from Blue Edge Crafts.

I am still in de-stash mode, and have been attempting to sort through my stuff - the craft room looks like a bomb hit it - so my motivation is a bit low - I seem to be only making cards 'when I absolutely have to' and I really don't like feeling that way :(  I am sure it won't be long until my mojo returns fully - but, it better return this week as I have a birthday card for my nephew to make ;-)

Pop on over to the UnstampaBelles blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!
