UnstampaBelles #17 - More Inspiration

Challenge #17 for UnstampaBelles is cruising along, and the theme this month is 'Monochrome' and we are sponsored by Cardmaking Online.

Our sponsor this month is Cardmaking Online which is an Australian online only business - by not having a retail store, they avoid significant costs such as rent and electricity which enables them to bring you quality products at the lowest possible prices.  They have a wonderful range of cardmaking kits, dies, peel-off stickers, parchment craft materials and much more.

Cardmaking Online is sponsoring us with a $25.00 gift certificate
as our prize for this months challenge.

All entries are subject to the Design Teams' discretion ......... Any form of paper creation will be accepted as long as NO STAMPS (Digital or Rubber) have been used.

You can find our rules here for further information.

This current challenge closes Friday, 30th November 2012 and Winners will be announced Monday, 3rd December 2012 - Remember we are working on Aussie Time.

Due to graphic technology any entry with a graphic image will be subject to the Design Teams' discretion and we will contact you if we feel the entry does not meet the ethos of our challenge blog.

According to The Free Dictionary ........
mon·o·chrome  (mn-krm)
n.
1.       a. A picture, especially a painting, done in different shades of a single color.
b. The art or technique of executing such a picture.
2. The state of being in a single color.
3. A black-and-white image, as in photography or on television.

I first thought Monochrome would be hard, but when I went back over some previous projects, I realised I work a lot with monochrome ;-)

Several of my previous UnstampaBelles Challenge entries could be suitable ........ #15#14 and even #9

Now for my next lot of inspiration

Here is a card I made for a swap, using the an embossing board (Fiskars ShapeBoss)

two layers of gold paper were hand embossed, then hand cut.  Flowers punched out using two different sized daisy punches, then bling and sticker added

Cardstock, pearl paper, stickers and bling available from Blue Edge Crafts

Please visit the UnstampaBelles blog and see what wonderful monochromatic creations have been submitted so far - I hope it inspires you to have a go at making some cards not using your stamps

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.

Thinking of You

My friend Mandy lost her beloved pet cat, Fluffy, a few days ago - so very sad - it happened so very quickly :(

Challenge #17 for UnstampaBelles starts today.

Now for my DT cards

This is a technique I learned in a class many years ago ;-)
Lace Punches used both singularly and strung together.  Cardstock and paper used in this example are all shades of Purples - even what looks like white is actually a very soft pink pearl paper.  Ribbon woven in and out and pearls added gives a lovely elegance to it ;-)

This card is created using punches - circle and hearts ;-)
SU cardstock used here - sorry can't remember colours, but three shades of pinks used in this one.  Sentiment is a rub-on.

Please visit the UnstampaBelles blog and see last month's entries and check out the winner.
There are some amazing entries and I know I say it every month, but it really is getting very hard for the DT to pick a favourite!

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
