CraftMad - July Card Swap Completed

I finally got to finish my card swap for CraftMad - we had to make two paper pieced Christmas cards

I was stuck for a bit - I don't have many Christmas stamps that are suitable to be used with a piecing technique - only the poinsettia, so that was the first card I did.  I had made a card like this a while back for a challenge and really liked the way it came together.  I know it is not strictly paper pieced, but I love the effect of the layering of this stamp, it always looks beautiful when made up.
Next is a card made using an old free digital image from Pollycraft - unfortunately, it looks like it is no longer available.  It made me realise, I really should use these digital images more often.   Image was printed onto square cardstock and green christmas paper, then cut out and layered onto card.  Peel off glitter stickers were used to place some definition and Kindy Glitze used to highlight the snow.

Next is my personal favourite - I neally didn't give this one away ;-)

Amber Ink (formerly Hanna Stamps) images were placed in a word document and printed on white cardstock and printed again on two different pieces of christmas paper.  Tree & boots were cut out from green, and dress and xmas tree skirt was cut from dotty paper.  Image was coloured in with watercolour pencils and of course, the obligatory Kindy Glitz was used ;-)
A topper was created using Spellbinders deckle edge dies in the cuttlebug and layered on front of card using 3D foam dots. Peel off stickers were used to add a bit of bling.

I really like the way this one turned out and will make up some more for my personal Christmas Cards.

Even the tree has some tinsel ;-)

I hope my swap partner is happy with her cards.
