Crafting Mojo has returned!

I have been struggling of late to get my crafting mojo moving!

Over the weekend, I went searching for inspiration in all the blogs I follow, and guess what ....... I found it!

This card came together in stages - I think I must have had several ideas in the back of my mind.  I am a bit out of my comfort zone with this one - a few too many embellishments for my usual style, but I just had to find a way to use the lovely paper and leaves I won from CreataliciousChallenges#1.

I have also been intending to submit a card for Stamping Vacation for so long!  Now that it is a weekly challenge, hopefully I will be able to participate more often!

The three I picked for this card were:
2 - Red, cream, brown
4 - metal (brads)
5 - Leaf

Paper flowers highlighted with buttons cut from old clothes.  I had to cut the shank off to make them lay flat.

Metal brads used to highlight smaller flowers.

Magnolia image, Tilda, hand coloured with watercolour pencils and highlighted with kindy glitz.

This cards meets several challenges, which are listed below.

Roses on Paper Challenge #22  - orange, brown & green + sketch from Just Magnolia
Just Magnolia sketch 26 (minus strips)
CBI#51 - fall colours using cuttlebug (spellbinder nesties)
Stampin for the Weekend - Orange, brown & leafy green
Saturday Challenge - Autumn colours
Stamp Something - brown + something

It is so nice to be crafting again!  Now I just need to get my sewing machine back out (it was packed away for a party !!) and finish off my sewing challenge from CraftMad

Creatalicious Challenge #2 - pink or plum, with burgundy & green

Challenge No. 2 over on CreataliciousChallenges is to make a creation with this colour combo pink or plum, with burgundy and green.  Also add some sort of lace, ribbon or fibre etc.   Looking back over some older posts, these colours are definitely my 'go to' colours ;-)

So here is my card - background paper came from 6x6 pack that I won for 4th place in last month's challenge  ;-)  The burgundy ribbon down the centre of the card is one that has been in my stash for a long time - in fact it is the ribbon used on my bridesmaids car when we got married in 1982!

Sarah Kay image hand coloured with watercolours, a bit of bling & kindy glitz added, layered using oval nesties.  Burgundy corners, green hearts and organza flowers highlighted with bling!

Wedding Card - finally finished! YAY

Well, after much experimenting and seeking advice from my crafting friends, I have finally finished my nephew's wedding card!   YAY!!!  (the wedding is tomorrow!!)

White A4 Majestic Pearl cardstock used as the base and run through Cuttlebug using swiss dots folder, leaving a gap along the bottom.  Silver ribbon cord placed along bottom border, silver congratulations sticker applied.  Linked Hearts cut out of silver & white Majestic Pearl cardstock using CraftROBO, layered using foam dots and highlighted with kindy glitz.  Paper roses placed in centre of linked hearts.

An insert page was made using lavender majestic pearl paper, heart punched corners and layered another linked heart feature on the inside.  With Love silver stickers applied.

As you may remember from my original post (below) I have moved away from the idea of using the silk flowers.

Many thanks to Cheryl for suggesting hearts ............... there were several variations, but I eventually settled on the above.  Thank you once again Cheryl, for the offer of sending me some hearts if I did not have any ;-)
Many thanks to the girls over on CraftMad, for their suggestions as well.  All of your input was greatly appreciated.
